In November 2015 we purchased eleven blinds using the online catalog order system, to replace aging cellular blinds that were over 20 years old. At Christmas, we discovered that two new sets of blinds are separating at the seams, in our formal front room and formal dining room after only two years. I have called customer service twice and been told that the manufacturer must handle warranty returns. Yet when I called the manufacturer (Phase II Products, Inc. 1-800-264-1190-customer service rep Jose) he states their warranty only covers hardware replacements parts. My paperwork states that the blinds (called Custom Mirage Light Filtering Cordless Cellular Blinds) came with a lifetime limited warranty. The instructions in the warranty state to contact the place of purchase. I called Customer Care at 1-800-322-1189, which is the number listed on my purchase receipt, and was told that I must talk to the manufacturer. In essence, I'm in a stuck loop, where neither Penney's nor the manufacturer seem to want to help me resolve this warranty issue. Exactly what are my rights, and am I out $558.26, the original price plus tax, paid during a 50% half off sale? Customer Order number 2015-3315-1061-4009, dated Nov 27, 2015. Item # 739-6784-F Qty 2(size 40" x 80") and Item # 739-6784-F Qty 2 (39" x 80") Dove Gray.
